EnCana wins PEM 2008 Maintenance Awards
AURORA, ON—Calgary-based EnCana Corporation's Christina Lake SAGD facility is the winner of the PEM
2008 Maintenance Awards. There are currently a total of 75 employees
and contractors at the Christina Lake facility with a maintenance staff
of approximately 25 people. And at the end of the day, nothing moves
without maintenance.

Hybrid electric forklift
Komatsu
Forklift recently unveiled its new hybrid electric forklift. Komatsu
said it developed this system in response to customer demands for a
more energy efficient electric forklift that would run for long periods
of time at peak performance levels. The Komatsu electric hybrid
delivers by working for 11 hours per day with a one-hour opportunity
charge during the shift, says the company.
