Welcome to the June edition of the PEM e-Newsletter!
PEM 2008 Maintenance Award submissions
We're now calling for PEM
2008 Maintenance Award submissions. The awards program recognizes and
promotes maintenance excellence. This year, the winning maintenance
team will receive a new infrared camera from FLIR Systems Canada.
"We're once again pleased and proud to be a part of the PEM
2008 Maintenance Awards," says Greg Bork, director, FLIR Systems
Canada. "We realize the importance of encouraging maintenance
reliability success and giving back to the industry."
At
MainTrain 2008, which will be held on November 24-27 in Toronto, the
winning maintenance team will be presented with the new FLIR Systems'
infrared camera and a plaque commemorating the occasion. The winning
maintenance team will also be profiled in a follow-up story set for
publication in the PEM February 2009 issue.
The winner of the PEM
2007 Maintenance Awards was Grant Forest Products Inc. Other past
winners include: Canadian Tire, City of Mississauga, Arcelor Mittal
Dofasco, City of Toronto (Toronto Wastewater), Purolator Courier Ltd.
and Gennum Corp.

TORONTO—Planning
continues for MainTrain 2008, which will be held in two locations:
Edmonton (September 25-26, 2008 at the Marriott At River Cree Resort)
and Toronto (November 24-27, 2008 at the Novotel Toronto Centre).
MainTrain 2008 is developed and produced by the Plant Engineering and
Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC).
