MainTrain heads west
TORONTO, ON—The
Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC)
announced it would hold MainTrain West in Edmonton this September. The
1 1/2-day conference will include a special training day. PEMAC’s
Alberta chapter will play a leading role in the planning of MainTrain
West.

Gear’s annual VIP golf classic raffle again last year raised $9,620 for
the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Sandra Hancox, Ontario
Chapter director and Ulana Kopysyansky accepted the cheque on behalf of
the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Denis Dryburgh president,
Nord Gear Canada and G.A. Kuechenmeister, president and founder,
Getreibebau Nord Gear, also took part in the cheque presentation.

Timken offers online tool
CANTON, OH—The
Timken Company announced the availability of an online tool that
enables original equipment manufacturers, distributors, students and
end users to easily locate a Timken housed unit that correctly
interchanges with a competitor’s part. The Timken Fafnir Housed-Unit
Interchange employs an easy-to-follow, three-step process for looking
up interchange information using a competitor’s part number.
