Bombardier and the NRC strengthen collaboration on R&D
Bombardier Aerospace announced late in July that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Research Council Canada (NRC) on cooperation for research and development initiatives.

Switzerland's Liebherr Group expands in Laval
Liebherr Group of Switzerland, whose specialties include aeronautics equipment, will be expanding its facilities in Laval to accommodate the assembly and testing of the landing gear for Bombardier's CSeries aircraft. Liebherr-Aerospace Canada plans on hiring about 35 employees.

Bombardier chooses Alcan's AIRWARE technology for its CSeries aircraft program
Alcan Global ATI and Bombardier have entered into a long-term agreement for the exclusive supply of AIRWARE, Alcan's advanced aluminum-lithium alloy technology, to provide primary structure for the all-new CSeries aircraft. AIRWARE will comprise more than 20% of all materials used in the CSeries aircraft.
