Governments must work to improve Canada’s tax competitiveness
Despite many improvements in recent years, federal and provincial governments still have a lot of work to do as far as introducing business tax reforms that would improve Canada’s international tax competitiveness and help drive business investment, according to a recent report from the C.D. Howe Institute.
“In the past decade, federal and provincial governments have addressed serious shortfalls in Canada’s business tax policies, by reducing corporate income tax rates, improving the capital cost allowance system and reducing or eliminating capital taxes.
