Fully interactive DPN digital edition draws raves from readers (how do you like it?)

Last week you should have received a special bulletin announcing the new, fully interactive Digital Edition of DPN magazine.

Response so far has been overwhelmingly positive, I'm happy to report. The goal was to get a computer desktop, monitor-friendly version of Design Product News with plenty of internal links to navigate instantly to the content that appeals to you most.

Design advice. SolidWorks presents industry-specific white papers, including heavy equipment, medical devices and consumer products (solidworks.com).

Part downloads. ThomasNet (thomasnet.com) provides mechanical components in native and neutral 2D & 3D CAD file formats from a broad range of vendors.

Die casting. White paper, Specialty Alloys Provide a Range of Die Casting Solutions, is published by the North American Die Casting Association (diecasting.org/oem.htm).

Polymer bearings. GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, offers 2D and 3D CAD models of its metal-polymer, filament-wound, solid polymer and metallic bearings and bearing housings (ggbearings.com/CAD).
