Modular storage system designer looks for Canadian investors to get to market

The anniversary of Hurricane Katrina has now come and gone, but issues of disaster relief linger on. Besides food and water, the number one pressing need in the hours after a calamity is shelter, however temporary.

Frank Luettich, a product developer and manufacturing consultant based in Toronto, believes his modular plastic storage system can provide such as emergency housing. In addition, he says, his easy-to-assemble kit IGLU Modular Storage Systems are suitable for applications such as home garden sheds, military storage, farming, garden centres and boat sheds.

The kits are comprised of light weight, durable plastic modular panels that seal together using a proprietary connector system. Luettich puts the portable shed market at $50 million/year in Canada and at least $500 million worldwide. He is currently seeking investors to set up sample kit production and marketing materials. He can be reached at 416-741-1246.

In every issue of DPN, at our website and in the e-LETTER (like this one), I try to package new product and technology information into nice, digestible bites. These bites mostly fall into natural engineering categories such as "Motion Control" and "Enclosures."

Starting with this newsletter, you'll start to see buttons like the one on your right, "Enclosures Products." Click on it and you'll be directed to DPN's online Archive of related products in this category. The same applies for "Motion Control Stories" below, where feature articles will appear.

I encourage you to keep pressing our buttons!
