Avocado delivers BI from surveillance images

Avocado Security announced the availability of its Enterprise Edition Version 2.0 Security & Business Intelligence (BI) Optimization Platform.
Avocado Enterprise V2.0 is designed specifically to be a small-footprint program that uses fewer physical security, IT, and system resources. This would be ideal for enterprises, containing multiple locations, remote facilities with low-bandwidth connections, and especially employing client's existing or legacy security systems, and computers without much processing power.

Avigilon focuses on auto-iris

Avigilon announced the introduction of the first auto-iris day/night HD dome camera. The Avigilon HD Dome Camera is available in one megapixel (720p), two megapixels (1080p), three megapixels, and five megapixels and comes with an automatic infrared (IR) filter technology to deliver low-light performance and sensitivity to infrared illumination. Vandal-resistant, the Avigilon HD Dome Camera integrates engineering and design features as well as special materials to allow it to continue operating even under the toughest conditions. An optional integrated IR illuminator provides short range illumination for high resolution surveillance in low-light conditions. Avigilon's HD dome cameras come with mounting options for recessed in-ceiling mounting, mounting to an electrical box, and mounting in a sealed IP66-rated outdoor configuration.
