FEATURE PRODUCT
Ergonomic Keypad Enclosures
OKW
has introduced the ‘Comtec’ range of sloping front keypad enclosures.
These enclosures feature a ‘softline’ design with an ergonomically
inclined (10º) operating area, which guarantees comfortable operation
of the controls. Typical applications will include telecoms equipment,
intercoms, surveillance devices, data collection, point-of-sale
terminals and a broad range of instrumentation. Comtec enclosures are
molded in off-white or black ABS (UL 94 HB), with custom colours and
materials available on request. Each case consists of a top and base
molding, and optionally, a battery compartment lid. Assembly is by an
interlocking system at the front and by two screws at the rear, which
also allows easier access if the cases are mounted on a wall.

Lean Manufacturing: The Society of Manufacturing Engineers
(SME) announced the launching of the Lean Registry, a free community
connection and collaboration space for lean practitioners. The Lean
Registry allows users to post needs/expertise directly to their
profile, create virtual groups and make safe connections more easily.
Registrants can easily search through shared profiles to find who might
match a specific need they have and then send an invitation to connect.
Users control if or when to accept a connection and/or share contact
information.
