Radio Frequency

Manufactures of radio frequency (RF) are in quandary over the robust and persistent demand for compact, cost-effective and power efficient solutions.

To meet the requirements specified by handset manufacturers, they strive to design, develop and deliver high-performance devices in very short periods to stay afloat in an intensely competitive market.

According to the latest research released by Frost & Sullivan, World Handset RF Semiconductor Markets, reveals that revenues totaled US$5.34 billion in 2004 and expects to reach $8.27 billion in 2008.

"The future of the handset RF semiconductor market appears bright and robust," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst, Deepa Doraiswamy. "Bolstered by the consistent technological advancements and manufacturing enhancements that result in the development of high-performing and cost-effective products and devices."
